Patrick McCauley was the third born son of Bernard McCauley I (1830-1902) and Anne Kerron (1842-1928). Together they had eleven children. Like other men in the family, Patrick worked in construction and died before his time in 1925. He left a widow and several young children. The burden fell to his wife Sarah to raise the young children. In turn, it appears that her children cared well for her as Sarah died in 1973 at the age of 97.
This was a challenging tree to complete and I admit there may be some errors. I want to highlight them in the hope that if someone from that branch of the family reads this and notices the mistakes, they may reach out to me so that I may correct them.
- Marion McCauley Nealis- I cannot find a date of death for her or confirm that she is buried in Kingston, NY. I do have an ancestry hint of someone with this name buried on Long Island. It would be nice to wrap up that detail.
- Thanks to a family member who saw my post on Ancestry.com, I was able to confirm that Marion McCauley died on April 7th, 1978. She had remarried and had acquired the last name Mead. Marion McCauley Nealis Mead is buried in Saint Mary’s Cemetary in Kingston NY. I will update the chart above at a future date.
- Anne McCauley – not sure if I have the correct date of death.
I also have concerns I may not have traced some of the marriages correctly.
- Sally (Sadie) McCauley; did she marry Francis Boyd?
- Cyrilla McCauley; did she marry George Archer?
- Mildred McCauley; did she marry Edward Hudson?
- Frances McCauley: Did she marry Frank Heslin and later Henry Masseria?
As stated in previous posts, if you have insights or information, or a story to share please reach out and I will be happy to include them.
