The article below was published in the Standard Union Newspaper, Brooklyn NY, on August 19, 1915.  The accused said he was “Skylarking” or fooling around, but the victim and patrolman felt differently.  Edward would have been 52 years old when he and his partner Edward Collins apprehended the suspect Peter Mulchay after an apparently aggressive and combative interaction.   A patrolman’s beat was pretty tough and tumble at times.
